Yoga for People with a Diagnosis of Dementia

January 21, 2016 By Clare Morris

Yoga is known to be good for everyone in terms of general health and wellbeing, with emerging research evidence for its role in a wide range of clinical populations. Yoga is likewise proving to be an ideal approach for addressing the wide range of the distressing symptoms arising from progressive cognitive impairment at any stage of the illness: anxiety, sleep problems, depression, restlessness, in addition to promoting mobility and wellbeing, and enhancing recall and orientation.

Free come and try workshops in conjunction with Dementia Pathfinders (www.dementiapathfinders.org) will be taking place during Dementia Awareness week … details to follow soon.
